The 2015 canadian screen awards honours mtv with nine nominations

In six weeks time Toronto will be booming with The Canadian Screen Awards celebrating our northern talent across film, television and digital media. The Canadian Screen Week will take place from February 23- March 1, ending in the celebration of on and off air talent with a Live 2-hour broadcast of the Awards Gala.

MTV is honoured to have received a total of nine nominations highlighting some of our best on screen and behind the scenes talent. The honoured productions include our favourite high school drama Degrassi with a total of 4 nominations, three nominations for our exclusive brothers McMorris and McMorris, and two for the inspiring We Day, hosted Selena Gomez in 2014.

Degrassi star Aislinn Paul tweeted her excitement earlier today thanking The Canadian Screen Awards for the nomination, showing off her Canadian pride!

Nominated for her performance in the 13th season, Aislinn plays Clare Edwards a senior at Degrassi High who receives her most shocking phone call ending the season finale by revealing that she is pregnant, but who is the baby daddy? Aislinn’s down to earth and relatable charm is sure to provide more fan favourite moments in 2015.
