The 16 couples who will own the oscars red carpet
With the 86th Academy Awards just a few days away, so many questions remain: Will Leonardo DiCaprio finally get his Oscar? What Dior dress will Jennifer Lawrence wear? And which Hollywood hot couple will steal the red carpet?
The Oscars are one of the best places to see the hottest couples show off their love, from walking the red carpet, to cuddling in their seats to their sweet “thank you” and “I love you’ s” in their acceptance speeches. To get you ready, MTV News has come up with a Oscars couples checklist.
Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie
The king and queen of Hollywood will be on-hand Sunday night as presenters at the awards ceremony. The two, who recently sported matching tuxedos at the BAFTA awards, have had some memorable red-carpet looks, but it will be hard to top the moment we all became very familiar with Angie’s right leg.
Jennifer Lawrence & Nicholas Hoult
The private couple have yet to officially walk an awards show red carpet together, but let’s hope they change their minds and make their big debut on Sunday. But even if they don’t, he may just sneak her a congratulatory kiss like he did at the Golden Globes.
Jared Leto & His Mom
You can 100 percent guarantee that you will see to Jared Leto with his mom come Sunday. Jared shared with his fans the adorable moment he, along with his brother Shannon, formally asked his mom, Constance, to be his date. Hearts then melted everywhere.
Matthew McConaughey & Camila Alves
The always stylish couple will be on-hand Oscar night, and while Matthew may walk away with his first Academy Award for his role in “Dallas Buyers Club,” there is no doubt that his wife, Camila, will have a winning moment on the red carpet.
Bradley Cooper & Suki Waterhouse
The ridiculously good-looking couple have been dating for about a year. But they have yet to make it red-carpet official, which we are hoping they do on Sunday.
Leonardo DiCaprio & His Mom
Although Leo has a penchant for supe models, we predict his mother will be on his arm on Sunday. Leo’s mom was on-hand when he took home the Golden Globe earlier this year for his role in “The Wolf of Wall Street,” and if he takes home an Oscar, we imagine he would want to share the special moment with his mom, and the after-party with the models.
Ellen DeGeneres & Portia de Rossi
It’s a huge night for Ellen, who will be the host of the awards show and we are sure there is one person in the audience who will definitley be laughing at all her jokes: Portia de Rossi. Her wife of nearly six years will most likely be on hand to show her support, much like she did back when Ellen hosted the show in 2007.
Kerry Washington & Nnamdi Asomugha
Kerry has been flawlessly flaunting her baby bump this award show season, but there’s one thing that’s been missing, her husband, Nnamdi Asomugha. With this most likely being the final awards show she attends before giving birth, maybe, just maybe, we will finally get the chance to see the super-private couple together.
Andrew Garfield & Emma Stone
Spider-Man himself, Andrew Garfield, will be all dressed up for the awards as a presenter, but the question remains whether his real-life leading lady, Emma Stone, will be by his side?
Jessica Biel & Justin Timberlake
It’s been awhile since we’ve seen Mr. and Mrs. Timberlake take a walk down a red carpet together. But with Jessica presenting and Justin getting a day off from his 20/20 Experience world tour, we are keeping our fingers crossed for a sighting.
Jason Sudeikis & Olivia Wilde
Jason and Olivia, who had some stand-out maternity moments this year, are expecting their first child, a baby boy, in May, so there’s a possibility they may want to get one more party night in before the sleepless nights begin.
Channing Tatum & Jenna-Dewan Tatum
Channing Tatum, who will be attending the awards alongside his wife Jenna, is going to bust his “Magic Mike” moves all over the Oscars. Well, maybe not, but we can always hope.
Kristen Bell & Dax Shepard
Get out those marshmallows, “Veronica Mars” fans, because Kristen Bell will be on hand to present an award, hopefully with adorable husband Dax Shepard by her side.
Will Smith & Jada Pinkett Smith
It’s kind of hard to believe it’s been five years since Will has been at the Oscars, but what’s even more shocking is that it’s been seven years since he and Jada have graced the Oscars red carpet together. Hopefully, this year, with Will presenting, they make their big, and most likely, fashionable return.
Ben Affleck & Jennifer Garner
It was Ben Affleck’s night at last year’s Oscars as he took home the award for Best Picture, but this year he can put his feet up and watch his wife, Jennifer Garner do the work, as she’s presenting and on-hand to support her “Dallas Buyer’s Club” co-stars.
Sean Penn & Charlize Theron
This new A-list Oscar winning power couple has been packing on the PDA recently, but we all know it’s not really official until they take their love to the red carpet.
