Selena gomez, macklemore and ryan lewis and katie couric confirmed for we day 2014

We Day 2014 kicks off in Toronto on Thursday, October 2 and we’ve got your first look at the star-studded list of performers and speakers scheduled to hit Toronto and Vancouver!

This year’s list of inspirational attendees includes Selena Gomez, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Katie Couric, Orlando Bloom and Hedley! The Toronto event will be hosted by Much’s very own, Liz Tinnear, and accompanying her on stage will be returning We Day stars, Hedley, Joe Jonas, Kardinal Offishall, the cast of ‘Degrassi,’ Lights, Big Sean, JRDN and many more!

Then it’s off to the West Coast for We Day Vancouver on Wednesday, October 22 which will be hosted by multi-platinum recording artist, Selena Gomez but this won’t be the first trip to the We Day stage for the pop star:

“Speaking at We Day California last spring was a truly life-changing experience,” said actress, multi-platinum recording artist and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, Selena Gomez. “Sharing that moment with thousands of my peers left me feeling incredibly inspired – I believe that together we can actually make a difference in the world. I am so happy to be back and hosting We Day Vancouver this year.”

Gomez will be joined in Vancouver by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Orlando Bloom, Shawn Mendes and Marianas Trench just to name a few!

There are so many talented and willing acts ready to help the cause but they won’t be the only guests celebrated at We Day. Youth around the world have earned their way to We Day by creating change and helping make a difference in the world. You can’t buy your ticket to We Day, you HAVE to earn it! The Me To We generation has taken action within local and global communities by helping to create a positive change in the world and now they’re being rewarded with performances and presentations by some of their favourite artists at We Day youth empowerment events across Canada!

Visit the official We Day site to learn how you can get involved and stick with MTV for all the latest news on upcoming events. Don’t forget to tune-in to the one-hour special We Day broadcast event on November 11 at 8e/5p only on MTV!
