Fifth harmony’s normani dropped her side project, and wow

Fifth Harmony’s Normani Kordei is an essential part of their girl group, a puzzle piece of their tightly woven harmonies. But the 19-year-old’s first love isn’t singing; it’s dancing. She revealed her secret dance project on Tuesday (July 14), which features her breaking it down to Sean Bankhead’s choreography.

The 5H star takes on Future’s “Commas” and Teyana Taylor’s “Do Not Disturb” in the two videos, each one with a different look and feel. In “Commas,” she shoots money out of a toy gun, smacks on bubble gum and dances in the dust under a bridge wearing a killer ponytail and Rita Ora’s Adidas collection. All the cinematography is done by Royal Rae.

“Do Not Disturb” is a black-and-white affair with billowing smoke and a more sensual vibe. She dances in leather pants with two other women, rolls atop a pool table and kicks chairs around.

“I started dancing when I was 3 years old and the main reason was because I wanted a pink tutu,” Normani told Complex, which premiered the videos. “In those early years dance became a part of my identity and helped shape who I am today. Dancing is more than just moving body parts, it is a pathway of expressing your deepest inner thoughts. When I dance I escape the present and become one with my soul. I put my all into performing so people can walk away knowing a bit more about me and feel the passion in my story.”

And, as you guessed it, Harmonizers are ALL about the choreographed videos:
