Molly tarlov says ‘real housewives’ are bitchy inspiration for ‘awkward. ”s sadie

We can personally attest to the fact that, though proudly sarcastic, Molly Tarlov is as sweet as they come, so how does she play the biggest biatch on “Awkward” so convincingly? Last night, the actress stopped by Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” to serve as guest bartender, and when host Andy Cohen asked about how her character, Sadie Saxton, will evolve in “Awkward”‘s fourth season, Molls told him there is “a lot more cruelty” to come, and pointed to his Bravo brainchild as inspiration.

“I thank you for the ‘Housewives’ franchise because I draw a lot of my bitchiness from there,” Molly says in the video below while guests Heather Dubrow of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” and Gillian Jacobs of “Community” laugh along. “I think we all have a little Vicki [Gunvalson] in us. For my character, I just like to draw it out a little bit more.” Well, we don’t know if we’ve heard the ladies of the O.C. ever say “It must make you want to kill yourself. Better luck this time!” but we catch Molly’s drift. If only Sadie was real — she’d definitely have a “Housewives” spot eventually carved out for her!
