Meghan trainor was all about that country with miranda lambert at the 2014 cma awards
Genre purists be damned, the 2014 CMA Awards shook things up on November 5 with the addition of two unabashedly pop artists to their performance roster: Meghan Trainor and Ariana Grande.
Still, Trainor honed her act for the Bridgestone Arena audience, teaming up with country’s reigning queen (sorry, Faith), Miranda Lambert — winner of four awards Wednesday night — for a twangy take on her breakout hit, “All About That Bass.”
The duo brought booty back to the Nashville stage, and, judging by Blake Shelton’s reaction from the crowd, Miranda’s husband couldn’t have been more pleased about it.
Later on during the ceremony, CMA Awards co-host Brad Paisley asked Meghan if she was slowly “comin’ over to our side.” Her response? “Yeah, sure.” The reverse Taylor Swift-ception has begun…
