Listen to 50 cent about ‘fifty shades’ on elle varner’s ‘birthday’

We’re not sure if 50 Cent read or watched “Fifty Shades Of Grey,” but the book-turned-film series seems to have influenced his latest verses on Elle Varner’s “Birthday.”

“Fifty shades of 50, yeah, we’re freaky when you ain’t,” the G-Unit MC rhymed on the track. “Lights off, she get erotic with glow in the dark paint.”

While 50 delivered Christian Grey-influenced lines, Varner didn’t hold back, either. “It’s your day, your day,” she seductively sang on the single off her upcoming 4 Letter Word album. “You can have me your way.”

Varner was pleased with their collab. “Imagine if your lover treated you like everyday was your birthday,” she told Billboard. “We captured that fun and sexy vibe on this record.”

The track also has an “In Da Club” vibe due to Fif’s “Go shorty” ad-libs. It’s a perfect throwback to the mega-hit off his debut album Get Rich Or Die Tryin’.

Thanks to their awesome musical chemistry, Varner and Fif gave us a track that’s as hot as “Fifty Shades of Grey’s” steamy sex scenes.
