Kylie jenner says it feels like ‘the whole world’ bullies her

Kylie Jenner usually uses her Snapchat to give us an inside peek at her oh-so-fabulous life. She fills her feed with pretty standard stuff for a teen — pics of her dog, selfies with her squad, silly videos of her singing in the car (OK, so it’s a Range Rover, but you get the gist).

But the youngest member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan got extra candid and serious late Wednesday night (June 17) when she turned the camera on herself for a muted video in which she revealed she’s felt bullied for almost half her life.

“It’s kind of crazy I have four million people watch my Snapchats. Half of you guys think I’m weird, and the other half think I’m funny,” Kylie began, clearing her throat and speaking directly to her followers. “But I’ve been bullied since I’ve been nine. From the whole world, it feels like sometimes… and I think that I’ve done a really great job in handling all this.”

The 17-year-old definitely has a point — “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” premiered in 2007, and she’s grown up in the omnipresent, harsh, and sometimes unforgiving spotlight ever since. Over the past few months, for example, her famously plumped lips have been scrutinized so heavily, you’d think they’re a weapon of mass destruction.

To her credit, though, Kylie has managed to grow up with grace — something evidenced by her sweet and encouraging message to fans who deal with their own bullies.

“There are bullies everywhere. So, this was just a little late Snapchat, to tell whoever with their own bullies, that the only opinion that ever really matters is yours and to never change,” she said quietly, in a tone barely above a whisper.

But despite the seriousness of her late-night soliloquy of sorts, Kylie insisted she’s not fishing for sympathy, and simply wants to use her giant public platform to spread some positivity.

“This isn’t a pity party though, don’t get it twisted,” she clarified. “This is to let others with bullies out there to know that you’re not alone… Goodnight. Spread love. Love y’all.”

Keep on keepin’ on, Kylie.
