Join ‘degrassi”s sarah fisher for the annual walk so kids can talk in support of kids help phone

Sarah Fisher

The annual Walk So Kids Can Talk is set to take place Sunday, May 4 in locations across Canada and ‘Degrassi”s own, Sarah Fisher (Becky Baker) will support the Walk as one of this year’s Spokespeople in Toronto, ON. Attendees and participants in the Toronto area will be treated to a very special live performance by Sarah during the event!

Sarah was first introduced to the Kids Help Phone team last fall and has been a devoted supporter ever since, ‘They are just such an incredible organization and the people who work there are the sweetest…we really clicked when we started working together.’

This will be Sarah’s second time performing at a KHP event, her first being at ‘A Night to Nurture’ back in 2013. Not only is she a leading star on ‘Degrassi,’ she also has the musical pipes to blow you away!

Sarah’s latest performance was of her single ‘Ceiling’ which she performed on ‘After Degrassi‘ last Tuesday following the spring finale of ‘Degrassi,’ ‘Sparks Will Fly’ Pt.2.

We had the chance to sit down with Sarah prior to her performance on ‘After Degrassi’ and she filled us in on why she believes it’s important for everyone to get involved, ‘It’s important for you to get involved because 100% of the money fund raised at these events, such as Walk so Kids Can Talk, are all going to keeping Kids Help Phone standing strong. And the reason they’re still here for youth is because so many people believe in them and they’ve made such an impact and difference to youth and youth mental health.’

Watch the clip below to hear more from Sarah and be sure to look for her at the Walk in Toronto on Sunday May 4! For details on how you can get involved and #BeAHero visit www.walksokidscantalk.ca for more info.

Kids Help Phone is an organization designed to provide free, professional counselling to youth across Canada. The annual Walk so Kids Can Talk event helps to raise the much-needed funding required to support their services.
