Dj pauly d opens up to mtv news about deadmau5’s recent criticism

It is no secret that Toronto-based electronic artist Deadmau5 is not a fan of DJ’s, referring to them in the past as simply “song players“, so it was no surprise when he took aim at Jersey Shore star (and DJ) Pauly D calling the video for his single, Night of my Life “cheap” and that Pauly has “no real talent“. MTV News recently had the chance to chat with the world famous guido about how he feels about being called out by the mouse himself.

No, he’s cool man. You know what? I’m a fan, he’s talented,” says Pauly D. “I’m actually flattered that he came at me the way he did, I’m actually flattered that he even watched my video!

So, he’s cool with the harsh words directed his way from Deadmau5 (real name Joel Thomas Zimmerman)?

I gotta be funny about it, I’m not mad at all, I thought it was fun.”

Despite the criticism of Pauly D’s skill and video-budget, there was only one way to handle this growing DJ Battle:Who has the higher iTunes music sales?

Yeah, I don’t want to say it, but I will: I’m beating him!”

That’s right – Pauly D is currently charting significantly higher on the iTunes singles charts then Mr. Mau5.

Round 2, boys!
