Celebs have to deal with their friends subtweeting and unfollowing, too

We’ve all found ourselves in a state of anger. And, in that state of anger, a subtweet or an emo lyric is shot out to the Twitterverse expressing some deep, inner feels. And we’re not alone. Celebs totally do this, too.

Some people will favorite these tweets, while close friends will become concerned, or, depending on the context, offended. Sometimes we hit delete and try to pretend like our vent sesh never happened. But no matter what the deal is, these little messages cause a good amount of dramz.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Diplo, the king of Twitter-shade, talked about his social media beef with Taylor Swift and revealed: “It’s still startling when these artists pay attention to my Twitter. Like, Ed Sheeran unfollowed me when I said something about Taylor — I can’t believe these people even know who I am.”

Yup, Ed hit that unfollow button real quick. Even though Tay and Diplo have reportedly smoothed out their issues, Ed has still not followed him back. Understandable though… When someone disses your friend you don’t even want to see their name pop up on your feed, amirite?

Being able to hide behind a screen provides more opportunities for mega shade to be thrown. Whether it’s just innocent opinions or an obvious reaction to a diss, here a few times celebs dished out or dealt with subtweets and expressed some real Twitter thoughts:

1. Katy Perry Kinda Maybe Called Taylor Swift A ‘Mean Girl’

Upon hearing about Taylor’s diss-track “Bad Blood” Katy tweeted a cryptic message that fans started parsing immediately.

2. Adam Levine Doesn’t Seem To Be Gaga Over Lady Gaga

LG responded by subtweeting: “uh oh guys the art police is here.”

3. Camila Cabella Kinda Reacted To Her Ex-Bae’s Diss

Austin Mahone told MTV that he had never been in a “real relationship” before getting with Becky G. Could that be what his ex-girlfriend Camila Cabello of Fifth Harmony was flummoxed over on Twitter?

4. Lorde Shut Down Diplo For Attacking BFF T-Swift

“I love Wes and he’s a big brother to me and one of my first friends in the industry, and part of having a friendship with someone like that is not letting them say stupid s–t,” Lorde told FADER. “Taylor’s my friend as well, and I’m a girl, and if I see some weird body-shaming on my feed I’m going to be like, ’Hey man…’”

5. Lady Gaga Kinda Called Katy Perry A Copycat

Katy rocked an extremely similar getup to one Lady Gaga had on her Born This Way Ball Tour.

6. Louis Tomlinson Gets Extremely Salty On Social Media

Louis just can’t help but continue to take jabs at Naughty Boy after Zayn left One Direction.
