good show, would watch again. Dont think its suppose to represent the city of vancouver so i dont get those comments. Its
just 3 musicians who happen to be living their. It was fairly entertaining.

Even though some people seem to think of this as making Vancouver look bad, it's the truth in some cases. But also...just
because these people are this way doesn't mean all people in Vancouver are! Anyways, I loved it, it seemed real and it was
interesting. I would love for this to become a new series, I would totally watch it! :)

LOVE

Cool! I love how canadian bash the americans and complain about not having something of their own and here we are doing the
exact same thing. rosette is fucking awesome, eric is hilarious, and tito is actually the most relatable of all three. So
get on with it make more episodes but for the love of god no more dates eric, we love you but that had absolutely nothing
to do with the music!!!!!!!!!!

Vancouver offers a lot more.

If you read the comments, no one is hating on the cast to bring them down. We have a lot of talent in Vancouver that the rest
of the world should hear about. However, this cast is not the accurate representation of that. Aside from Eric, it is apparent
to the viewers that the other two wont get far in the industry (not saying they should stop singing, but maybe realize it
should not be their career choice).
Plain and simple, we should want to promote the talent in our city, but we shouldn’t jump on the bandwagon of shitty artists
just because they have landed a show on T.V. MTV should have scouted for the show, instead they chose to go with audition
tapes. The only way for others to take Canadian creative’s seriously is if media outlets actually portray GOOD talent.

Vancouver is here!
Posted By: MTV.ca user
Is it just me or is it finally time Vancouver or Canada for that matter have more of its own cool reality shows or just shows
for that matter with entertainment, and not just regerjitated stuff from the U.S. Fuck all you haters! I say let see them
succeed and do more, its retarded folks who are quick to pass judgment why we never have support for Canadian talent, I realize
this may not have been the best situation but its clear they got better and preogressed as the show did too, lets see what
else they got next before making a decision

Man whoever directed this needs a slap, the characters are actually pretty cool but the direction of the show is not.

AWFUL!
Posted By: No talent
This is the worst "reality" show I have ever seen. This show is a disgrace to the actual talent in this city.
It was as if the characters were trying REALLY hard to make the audience feel uncomfortable.
Although the concept has potential, the show has the wrong cast, and horrible "reality" acting.

SO BSD

It’s such an unspeakably awful and cringe-inducing piece of advertainment that it could very well be passed off as clever
satire. But as far as I can tell it’s definitely not taking the piss and is meant to be taken seriously.
It’s the 21st century equivalent of a botched public hanging - a human disaster that aspirational teens and unshaven misanthropes
can enjoy alike.

WHOA

Whoa what a wicked awesome idea for a show. exposing local talent on the small screen! I'm excited for the show but the show
content seems a bit dull. I'd like to see the characters more exposed, see how they became singer songwriters and such. See
what they're all about. I feel like the show is just jumping into the whole thing.
Also, where are the rest of the episodes. I've been following them on twitter and youtube and they say MTV is filming them
all the time but where is the footage?! Will this air on TV too or is it just online???

I was so excited to see this show, but after watching this first episode I was very disappointed. It was just too forced and
so boring. The camera work was terrible! The whole concept of the show was a terrific idea but I just think they went about
it the wrong way. It would be interesting to see if they come out with more episodes. Great to see a show filmed in Vancouver
though! I actually saw Rosette walking down the street in Yaletown a couple of days ago listening to her Ipod.

love to see where it goes from here, is there going to be more episodes?

Destructive criticism
Posted By: Evanon
This is seriously the worst thing I've ever seen on television. It's cringe-worthy, it's embarrassing, it's just a bunch of
pretty people having parties, talking about liking each other like they're in freaking junior high. The singing and performing
is just t.e.r.r.i.b.l.e., and Rosette is the least likeable character ever. They could at least try and pretend that they
aren't sucking fame whores.

"As a fan of the Vancouver music scene I can tell you this never happens" Really?? Cause I'm a fan of the Vancouver music
and it happens ALL THE TIME! I love these people that think that they know everything about everything. What you see isn't
the only thing going on you know? Yes you learned to grow with the hills but thats after how many episodes? this is the
first one, give it a chance maybe instead of outpoor of hate and judgement. The cry seemed pretty genuine to me and if that
is their dreams who are you to judge that they should fight to have it! Maybe if you kept an open mind you would see the
shows potential instead of shutting it down, O Kaycee?

Agreed with the constructive criticism below. The show is based on the "3 musicians hustling to make it big" but the episode
didn't even show any of that. It just showed them partying it up in a fancy downtown loft with hot girls everywhere. As a
fan of Vancouver's music scene, I can tell you that, that barely happens and there is more to the scene here than what is
on the show. There is the whole aspect of writing, recording, playing crap shows in crappy venues, the real nitty gritty grind
of making it in the music business.
The show seems really non genuine as well, more so than other MTV reality shows, especially when Rosette is crying on the
beach because she needs some "help", as she used to have a song on the radio and looks like she deserves to be signed JUST
because of that. Which is completely ridiculous!
Other MTV reality shows that have become successful like the Hills have had a backstory, it started off with Laguna Beach
and that showed all the characters mature and find their place in the life, that is why the Hills were so popular because
we watched them grow up and wanted them to succeed because we saw their struggles. The Youth Electric didn't show any of that,
it just threw us in the pot with these musicians practically begging to become rich & famous, and it reflects poorly on the
show and Vancouver's music scene.

CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM
Posted By: boom
their casting call audition video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cpHZF92R590) felt SO much more natural to me. the show felt
like they were trying to stir drama on purpose too often. if they showed more of these 3 on their grind, showing tito's anxiety
before he has a kid, showing rosette trying to make ends meet outside of just throwing rooftop parties, and eric in the studio
or writing a song and talking to us about the lyrics to that song and the story that goes behind it—that's a show about 3
kids on their grind. what youth electric is right now, isn't doing these 3 artists justice. cut the drama crap if there isn't
any drama to begin with and start with what's REAL to these 3. show us anticipating their future. we wanna get in their heads
and understand why they want this so bad. don't show us petty little conversations that don't even come to any conclusions.
everyone saying "support canadian talent just because it's canadian" needs to stfu. canadians can do better than this. if
you don't push people to do better, NOBODY will make anything worth watching. i believe in canadian work, but not in canadian
crap. come on people we can do better than this.

REAL SHOW OVERVIEW
Posted By: Professor
I've yet to read a single intelligent overview of the show & cast except for biased BS. Either fans or jealous haters who
didn't get picked with no insight, so here it be; I think what this show was missing is balls!! Or to rephrase better writing.
However they're clearly all very talented music artists and it should have been more about just that. So I'll nominate myself
as judge jury & executioner. Tito came off stiff but got night & day better at the end. I absolutely admire his character
& if you really do have a kid on the way thats awesome. I think you have more fans than your aware of as everyone cheers for
the underdog so Im really anxious to see what happens next & hopefully we get to open up into your world & focus more on you.
Rosette for all of your loud mouth antics I believe you're a softy at heart but puts up this hard exterior as a front to fend
enemies away, this became transparent with your argument on the beach. You'll make it, your beautiful, smart, & very driven
so stick with that. Lastly Eric. being arrogant has its advantage, but also has its downfalls. Since we've only been able
to see 1 episode I feel they spent too much time on you were played out too quickly. that can leave viewers thinking your
a douche as they've now only had a chance to witness how a show about friends is all about you. I think you should take a
back seat in the episodes to follow or be more supportive of the music itself. well there we have it kids. Hopefully you've
all learned something and expect professor mtv to show up next episode to give the last word :-)
