MTV host, Jessi Cruickshank, leaves her jet-setting lifestyle in Toronto and travels halfway around the world to Maasailand, Kenya for the ultimate life-changing adventure.

With Free The Children's Kenyan Program Director, Robin Wiszowaty, as her guide, Jessi becomes part of a Maasai family inside rural Kenya. She's immediately accepted into the homestead and put straight to work - renovating huts, milking goats and even taking part in their traditional goat slaughtering ceremony.

Jessi is welcomed into this new and loving community and discovers that, while they may live a world apart physically, their hopes and dreams for freedom, education and happiness, hits very close to home.

"Jessi in Kenya" represents the fourth "MTV Presents" documentary special produced by MTV Canada with the cooperation of Free The Children. Previous specials have included, "Degrassi in Kenya"; "Degrassi in Equador" and "Jessi in India".
