The Electric Barbarellas are five girls just trying to get their stuff together. Yes, they sing. And they dance. And of course, they are sexy. But that's where the similarities to other girl groups end. Because for every two steps forward they take, they take three back.
Based on the real-life exploits of an all-girl electronic pop band trying to make it in Hollywood, the show will follow these larger-than-life starlets as they try to stay focused and out of each other's way - It's gonna be a long road to the top!
The Electric Barbarella's are more than just a pretty all-girl group trying to make their mark in the music world. They are five unique, charismatic girls with big personalities and bigger dreams, all with their own stories to tell. As a group they are working together to figure out how to make it to the next level. But as individuals, they each have their own aspirations and their "other lives" that seem to keep getting in the way.
Chelsea schedules secret recording sessions in an attempt to go 'solo'. Raven is the young model who acts on her impulses without thinking about the consequences. Missy is a bona fide rocker who isn't sure the girl-group thing is for her. Gynger is a born comedian who just can't take anything seriously and Heather is the leader who is trying to keep them all together. Heather is one hundred percent committed, the rest.remains to be seen. After all, they've got the looks, they've got the attitude and they've got the talent - all they need is a chance.
I'm both the founder and a member of the Electric Barbarellas. Sometimes I wish I could just be in the group and not be the
boss lady. It's never easy telling your friends to get it together but if I don't lay down the law, the group won't make it.
I've put everything I have into this. No one has more at stake for this to succeed than I do.
I'm Melyssa, AKA, Missy - a crazy fun loving potty-mouthed musician and bartender. I also have another band where I play keys/guitar,
sing and have a full band. They both want me to commit full time which means giving up one or the other. I feel like I'm in
the middle of a tug-of-war. At some point I'll have to make a choice.
I'm your typical all America girl next door. People often call me the goodie-too-shoes of the group. It can be hard trying
to keep my morals in tact, especially being in an all girl group in Hollywood. People are always trying to make you do things
you don't want to do in order to make it. I just hope I'm strong enough to stay true to who I am.
I'm Raven. Being Caribbean and Native American, I was always insecure with my looks and thought that the only way to be pretty
was to be blonde, with blue eyes. My attitude turned me into a wild child and ever since, I've pushed boundaries every chance
I get. I hate being told no whether it's with my modeling career or being in the Barbarellas.
Hey I'm Gynger. I'm the crazy, bootylicious, Southern belle of the group. I'm country, I'm loud, and make no bones about saying
what's on my mind. Mostly, I love to make people laugh! Ever since I can remember I've always been the little comedian..telling
jokes and pulling pranks in class that would get me sent to the office.
I bring swagga and a little bit of soul to the group
spicing things up. I love that I can just be myself in this group... but sometimes my jokes and crazy ways can get me into
trouble.
