So the other weekend Roxy (http://www.roxy.com/home/index.jsp), that cool surfer-chick clothing company, sent me on a trip to Montauk to learn how to surf. They sent me…and a very, very, very large group of girls. Ha.

Anyway, we stayed at the Montauk Yacht Club in our own private villas. No big deal. As soon as we got there, our group (which included major style bloggers from Elle http://www.elle.com/, Fashionista http://fashionista.com/, and Nylon http://www.nylonmag.com/ – all rad ladies), went for dinner on the beach. I looked over and for a brief second, thought I recognized the guy sitting alone at a table…later found out it was Nick Lachey, who was staying there with Vanessa Minnillo.

I’m just going to say that that couple loves being a couple. They invented the embrace. We got real pleasure watching them hug.

Surfing was next. Let me put it this way: I’ve never really surfed. I wear glasses. And most days I have trouble not tripping while walking down the street. The good news? I’ve seen Point Break, a lot, and I always love a good challenge. Cut to me putting on a wetsuit. Challenge #1.

Surfing was a blast. I ended up being pretty good, not gonna lie (though, there were instructors pushing us and telling us when to stand up…I’m still a natural though, right???). Tell you one thing I was a pro at: getting a sun burn.

Later, hung out with more girls, the most stylish indie band ever, The Like (http://wimtemp.000a.biz/like2/) at Montauk’s “it” spot, The Surf Lodge. And oh yeah, point for the men – Ryan Kwanten, aka Jason Stackhouse from True Blood was there.

Really fun night…ended up falling asleep embarrassingly early on one of the chairs at the bar – I blame it on the sun.

Looks like Lindsay’s heading to jail and her sentencing could not have been more sad and pathetic. We don’t know what it will take for her to wake up and finally get things together again but maybe this will be it! We doubt it though. But enjoy watching the tears as she finds out she’ll be spending 90 days in the slammer!

Only a few short weeks after Vienna and Jake ended their fairy tale romance, our Canadian sweetheart Jillian (who actually dumped Jake on her season of The Bachelor) and her fiancé Ed have broken up. It comes as no surprise since he apparently had two girlfriends while he was on the show and even slept with one of them after he had proposed to Jillian. So sad.

We knew he was bad news when he fell asleep on their intimate overnight date. Jillian should have picked up on that too! Plus he even left the show for a few weeks! We love that even though season after season of Bachelor and Bachelorette engagements get broken up, people still believe that they can find love after “dating” someone for six weeks on television, and we keep getting to see these amazing relationships fail time and time again. Sorry Jillian, you actually seemed pretty sweet and genuine. Better luck in your next relationship!
