  • Spice – singles: "Wannabe," "Say You'll Be There," "2 Become 1," "Mama"

The Spice Girls burst onto the scene with Spice, which infuses infectious dance-pop with their colorful, sexy, and fiercely independent all-girl image. The Girls' charisma drives the catchy singles "Wannabe" and "Say You'll Be There" along with ballad "2 Become 1." The rest of the album is similarly as irresistible, with the Girls exuding enough personality to make this immaculately crafted pop guilty pleasure always entertaining.

  • Spiceworld – singles: "Spice Up Your Life," "Too Much," "Stop," "Viva Forever"

On their sophomore effort, the Spice Girls kick things up a notch with a more consistently catchy and fun-loving set of songs. Spiceworld's songs boast a more diverse set of styles, with the Latin-tinged "Spice Up Your Life," the bluesy "The Lady is a Vamp," and the neo-Motown "Stop." Weighed down by minimal filler, the songs on Spiceworld have strong melodies and solid beats, creating some of the most enjoyable, intoxicating manufactured dance-pop of the 90's.

  • Forever – singles: "Holler/Let Love Lead the Way"

Three years removed from the pinnacle of their popularity, the Spice Girls released their third album, Forever. Thought they attempted to follow up with a stylish, mature effort, the record fell flat of expectations. The Girls appear uninterested and self-conscious, with the songs lacking life and the giddy sense of friendship that characterized their previous releases. Without the charm that once made them so irresistible, Forever sounds like a record the Spice Girls knew would most likely be their last.
