"To bang?...Or not to bang?"
I have wanted bangs since last year but just didnt think they'd look good on me. I have been trying to grow my hair 3 inches longer. Winter blues are setting in. Longing for change. Then yesterday...it suddenly became the end of an era. I was at the hair dresser, and as i went through the regular process i started to contemplate: "To bang, or not to bang?"...Call it a mid-20's crisis as I approach my birthday next week, but in a spurr of the moment decision I decided: TO BANG!
Music & Bangs = yes, there's a connection. The thing about bangs is they are cross-genre. It's not like dread locks, or long head bangin' hair that are associated with a certain type of music. From Beth Ditto to Mic Jagger. From Hilary Duff to James Brown. Bangs are kinda like music: an international language. So let's call this change a step towards becoming "a woman of the people". Or let's just call it what it is, an act of boredom.
Not sure if I like it. Watch MTV News today for the big reveal (there's a fuzzy mobile picture up top). Yikes!
The good news is, if I dont like it, I can grow them out and escape this bang-session disease free. Can you say the same thing about your ex-boyfriend? BOOYAH!
