MTV MOVIE MINUTE: THE PERFECT HOLIDAY
In The Perfect Holiday,a young girl asks the "Santa" at the mall for a man to compliment her mom. So the guy in the "Santa" suit takes it upon himself to fulfill the girl's request and love blossoms. Morris Chestnut plays the man who works as the mall "Santa," and he said it was more than just his character "Benjamin" that made him sign on for the film. "It actually was the entire script not necessarily the character you know? I just loved the story you know just being a part of a Christmas story that the whole family could go see. And just to give a heartfelt endearing feeling to the audience after they leave." Sure there is a love story in the movie, but there is also plenty of humor courtesy of Charlie Murphy, who plays a rapper, and Katt Williams, who portrays a producer. Murphy was glad to add the comedic elements to the flick. "That's what was fun about the film you know the reason they hired Katt and myself was because they knew we were comedians and it was like, 'Okay, here's your role right here and we want you to come and put some hot sauce on it,' which was no problem. We did it, you know?" Also joining Chestnut, Murphy and Williams on screen are Queen Latifiah and Gabrielle Union. The Perfect Holiday is in theaters today.

Damon added that shooting fight sequences are not the highlight of making these action flicks. "In terms of being challenging mentally, it's not. It's like watching paint dry. But the technical challenge is kinda interesting, but in terms of being mentally stimulating, I mean Paul is just sitting at the monitor trying not to fall asleep." DR. DRE SPARED FROM THREE BILLION DOLLAR LAWSUIT. A Detroit judge has dismissed a three-billion dollar lawsuit filed against Dr. Dre and other parties over footage that appeared on the Up In Smoke tour DVD that was released in 2000. XXLMag.com reports the suit was filed in 2002 by Greg Bowens, a spokesman to former Mayor Dennis Archer, former police spokeswoman Paula Bridges and former police Cmdr. Gary Brown over a conversation the three had backstage at a July 2000 concert at the Joe Louis Arena. The footage shows the three city officials asking concert producers not to show an explicit video during the show. In their suit, Bowens, Bridges and Brown claimed that the conversation was private. On December 4th, Judge John A. Murphy tossed the lawsuit, saying that because the conversation happened in a room with an open door, the plaintiffs could not have had a reasonable expectation of privacy. According to the Detroit Free Press, Judge Murphy's decision came as a surprise because back in October he remarked that he was inclined to let the suit go to trial. The show began with newsreel footage of the band arriving in Tampa, Florida for a 1973 performance projected on stage. Now I've reached that age, I've tried to do all those things the best I can. No matter how I try, I find my way to the same old jam." Show reviewers seemed to be in consensus that the 59-year-old still has his trademark voice and that guitarist Jimmy Page, who's injured pinky finger caused the event to be postponed three weeks, played just as well as he did years ago.
